A few simple courtesies help everyone enjoy the area. 🚗SLOW DOWN & DRIVE CAREFULLY Please drive slowly and cautiously on Kaweah River Drive. The posted speed limit is 15 mph or less, decreasing to 5 mph near the cabin. Wildlife frequently crosses the road, and neighbors may be walking, running, or enjoying the area on foot. Thank you for taking it slow and helping keep our neighbors and wildlife safe.🦌 🚷RESPECT PRIVATE PROPERTY The land surrounding the cabin is privately owned. Please remain on the cabin's property unless you're using a designated public area. Please do not: • Cross neighboring properties • Park on private property • Block driveways or turnouts • Enter neighboring yards • Attempt to reach the river through private property The cabin does not have direct river access. If you'd like to enjoy one of the area's public access points, we provide camping chairs in the garage and beach towels and blankets in the stairs closet for your convenience. 🌌HELP US PROTECT THE NIGHT SKY One of the special things about staying here is the beautiful night sky. Our outdoor lighting uses warm, solar-powered fixtures to minimize light pollution. Please turn off unnecessary outdoor lights—including porch, balcony, and flood lights—when they're not needed. Then step outside, look up, and enjoy the stars.✨ 🐻BE BEAR-WISE Kaweah Oaks Cabin is located in a BearWise community, so please help us keep wildlife—and our guests—safe. Never leave food, food scraps, or garbage outside unattended. Please bring leftovers and other food indoors when you're finished enjoying the outdoors. Two bear-resistant gray trash cans are provided for your convenience. Please use them and let us know right away if you notice any issues with trash or wildlife. 🐶PET POLICY Dogs are welcome on a case-by-case basis with prior host approval and an additional pet fee. For the safety and comfort of your dog, our guests, and the wildlife: • Dogs must be house-trained. • Dogs must be crated when left alone in the cabin. • Please clean up after your dog. • Dogs must be supervised outdoors. • The property is not fenced, so please plan accordingly. No pets other than dogs are permitted. Please message your hosts before booking if you'd like to bring a dog—we're happy to discuss whether the property will be a good fit for your pet. ❤️THANK YOU FOR BEING A GREAT GUEST & NEIGHBOR Most of these guidelines simply come down to three things: Enjoy the cabin. Respect the surroundings. Be considerate of our neighbors. We hope you have an amazing stay, make yourself comfortable, and enjoy everything the Three Rivers area has to offer!🌲🏡✨

Other Details to Note

🍃OUR OAK TREES HAVE A MIND OF THEIR OWN One of the things that makes Kaweah Oaks Cabin special is the beautiful canopy of native oak trees surrounding the property. Oaks provide wonderful shade, but they also naturally shed leaves throughout the year—not just in the fall. You may occasionally find a few leaves on outdoor furniture or around the property between cleanings. We keep the outdoor spaces well maintained, but Mother Nature has her own schedule! We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy the peaceful, natural setting. 🐦LIVING WITH NATURE — WOODPECKERS Our cabin is surrounded by beautiful oak trees and abundant wildlife—including a healthy population of woodpeckers! You may occasionally see or hear woodpeckers pecking or drumming on the trees and, occasionally, on the house itself. Woodpeckers are protected wildlife, so we use humane deterrence methods to help protect the home while allowing these beautiful birds to remain part of the natural environment. As a result, guests may notice woodpecker deterrents or protective coverings on portions of the exterior of the home. These are intentional measures designed to discourage the birds from damaging the property. You may occasionally hear the unmistakable tap-tap-tap of a woodpecker during your stay. We like to think of it as one of the sounds that comes with staying in a true mountain setting.🌳🐦 Please do not attempt to approach, disturb, feed, or deter the woodpeckers yourself. ☀️🌧️SEASONAL WEATHER & OUTDOOR LIVING Kaweah Oaks Cabin is a true mountain getaway, and the weather changes with the seasons. Summer days can be quite warm, while evenings and winter nights can feel crisp and cool. The cabin does not typically experience snow, but rainy weather can make outdoor furniture and other exterior areas temporarily wet or less comfortable to use. We do our best to keep outdoor spaces clean, dry, and ready for guests, but weather is part of the experience. After rain, please allow outdoor furniture and surfaces time to dry before use. During periods of high summer temperatures, direct sun, or rain, some outdoor activities may be less comfortable or temporarily unavailable. Fortunately, the home offers plenty of ways to enjoy your stay indoors—including our newly renovated, climate-controlled game room—so there's always a comfortable place to relax, play, and spend time together. 🪨NATURAL TERRAIN — WATCH YOUR STEP Our 1-acre property is intentionally natural and does not have sidewalks throughout. As you explore, you'll encounter uneven ground, rocks, tree roots, and other natural features. We recommend sturdy shoes, particularly when exploring beyond the main outdoor areas. Please use extra caution and supervise children and pets while enjoying the property. 🌙DARK SKIES & CABIN NIGHTS One of the best parts of staying here is stepping outside on a clear night and seeing the stars. To preserve the peaceful setting and minimize light pollution, we use warm solar lighting rather than bright outdoor floodlights. The property can feel quite dark after sunset, so please use your phone flashlight when walking outside at night. Small lanterns are also available in the stairs closet. It's a little darker, a little quieter, and perfect for stargazing, storytelling, and enjoying the night sky.✨ 🧑‍🔧ROUTINE PROPERTY MAINTENANCE We schedule routine maintenance to keep the property comfortable and in excellent condition for our guests. A professional technician services the hot tub twice weekly, typically Tuesdays and Fridays, to keep it clean and properly balanced. You may also occasionally see service providers for monthly pest control, lawn care, and trash disposal. These visits are generally brief and minimally disruptive. If a scheduled service falls during your stay, the host will let you know in advance whenever possible. 🚫NO RIVER ACCESS Please be aware that the cabin does not have direct access to the Kaweah River. The surrounding properties, including the riverfront, are privately owned. For everyone's safety and to respect our neighbors, guests may not enter neighboring properties for river access, park on the street, block neighboring driveways or turnouts, or trespass on private land.💚 You are welcome to walk along the private road and enjoy the beautiful scenery and peaceful surroundings. Thank you for respecting our neighbors and helping us preserve the quiet character of the community.

Neighborhood

Three Rivers is a charming mountain community and the gateway to Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks, where the Sierra Nevada foothills meet the Kaweah River. It’s the kind of place where you can spend the morning standing beneath giant sequoias, the afternoon exploring a mountain trail, and the evening enjoying a relaxed meal or watching the sunset by the river. One of the biggest draws is Sequoia National Park, home to the Giant Forest, the General Sherman Tree—the largest known living tree by volume—and spectacular landmarks including Moro Rock, Crescent Meadow, and Tunnel Rock. The Giant Forest Museum is a great stop for learning about the area's giant sequoias and natural history. Closer to town, the Kaweah River and Lake Kaweah provide a beautiful backdrop for fishing, boating, swimming in designated areas, wildlife watching, and seasonal outdoor adventures. Three Rivers is also a popular starting point for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and whitewater rafting. Take some time to explore the town itself. The Three Rivers Historical Museum offers a glimpse into the area's local, Native American, mining, and pioneer history, while the town's murals, galleries, shops, and small local businesses give Three Rivers its unique personality. When you're ready to eat, you'll find everything from casual pizza and Mexican food to Mediterranean cuisine, sandwiches, and riverside dining. River View Grill & Bar offers a casual meal with views of the Kaweah River, while Tony's Taverna Food Truck is a popular option for Greek and Mediterranean fare. Pizza Factory is an easy family-friendly choice after a day of exploring. Whether you're here for the giant trees, mountain adventures, peaceful river views, or simply a chance to slow down, Three Rivers makes a memorable home base for exploring the Sierra Nevada. The community is east of Visalia on Highway 198. Located halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco, it's a prime spot for those looking to unwind or explore.
